Grace and peace to you who are alive in Christ,
"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." Ephesians 2:4-7 ESV
Inconceivable, that's the word for this passage. The context here is that Paul had just finished saying that at one time we all were Evil, Nasty, Wicked Sinners. Then, "But God" shows up and everything changes. He makes us "alive together with Christ". Wow, this one just fries my circuits I mean realizing that He gave me life, so He could spend all of eternity demonstrating "the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus". Doesn't that just make your head spin?
It's just amazing to me and worth meditating on, that we haven't done anything to be worthy of this gift of eternal life. Yet He has so profoundly demonstrated His love for us and offered His mercy freely to us. It reminds me that He has started here and now displaying "the immeasurable riches of his grace" and mercy to me by looking down on me every day with a loving smile even though I fail miserably to live up to His standards. How much greater does that make His love though? In my falling short He still promises an eternal reward that's simply INCONCEIVABLE.

So hold fast my friends, knowing that your JOY and Salvation rest not in your power to save yourself but in the all powerful hands of an infinitely Holy GOD who chose you, yes you, to be a witness of and testimony to His mercy and LOVE.
For the Joy of Your Faith,
Teagan
