Are you a weary Alien?

Grace and peace to you friends,

I know some fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who are going through a tough struggle right now and in need of encouragement. After some thinking I came to these two passages of Scripture and feel like this is exactly what I would need to focus on if I were in their shoes.

"For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison," 2 Corinthians 4:17 ESV

We need to remember that as long and dragged out as the trials of life can feel they are but a vapor compared to the eternity of God's glorious presence that these trials are purchasing for us. Often times it's when we feel closest to the bottom of ourselves, that we find ourselves closer to Jesus than we could have gotten any other way. So look forward and upward my down trodden friends, for you are but weary aliens traveling in a foreign land.

"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." Philippians 3:20-21 ESV

For the Joy of Your Faith,
Teagan
