Grace and peace to you, dear friends,
Hey, that was great exercise yesterday so lets do it again. This is a great chapter to meditate on because of it's great theme, the worth and beauty of God's very Words given to men.
" How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word.
With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments!
I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
Blessed are you, O LORD;
teach me your statutes!
With my lips I declare
all the rules of your mouth.
In the way of your testimonies I delight
as much as in all riches.
I will meditate on your precepts
and fix my eyes on your ways.
I will delight in your statutes;
I will not forget your word." Psalm 119:9-16 ESV
Thank you heavenly Father, for giving me eyes to see, that your Word is truth and life. Only your Word has the power to save and to keep me walking upright before you. Lord God, may I always have the strength to seek you wholeheartedly and may I never stray from your commandments. Help me to treasure your Word in my heart so that I do not fall into sin. Father be blessed in my seeking after you, be blessed because your Word is a greater treasure to me than riches and prestige. By your grace Oh Lord I will always speak of your ways and meditate on your Word. I shall also delight forever in the beauty of your testimony because it brings me great joy. You alone are worthy and you alone are the only wise God, may your name be blessed forever. Amen
You can do this to. Just take a passage and say it back to God in your own words. Remember, He isn't worried about how eloquent you can be. He is more concerned with the sincerity of your heart so don't be afraid to fumble your way through it.
May the great God of grace bless you with a passion for the treasure of His Word and so doing give you the strength to keep your ways pure in His sight.
For the Joy of Your Faith,
Teagan
