That same power.

Grace and peace to you dear friends,

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:1-5 ESV

I find it so comforting to know that Jesus Christ who, "was in the beginning with God" and the one through whom "All things were made " is the same one who makes new creations out of His own people, you and me. The Bible says that He has also gone into Heaven to create new homes for His people and that they will enjoy those new homes in a new Heaven and Earth one day. A future place that will no longer bear the stain of sin and death. This one Jesus, the very Word of God manifested in the flesh, is our hope dear friends. The same power that created the Universe is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and it will one day raise us from the dead. It is also the same power that has awakened our hearts to faith in Christ and made new creatures out of us. Looking ahead in that faith, we know it is the same power that will right this cursed world and make it anew one day and empower the children of God to live there forever in peace and joy. Friends, is this not worth getting excited over? Do you long for that coming day when the power of death is swallowed up by the power that created life?

Oh what glorious day, when sin's curse holds no more sway!

Glory, honor, blessing and power be unto His great name. For He who Is and Was, is still to Come. Thank you oh God, for a heart that longs for that great coming day of our Lord. And thank you for the dimly lit eyes to see even a pale glimpse of the glory to come and with it the confident hope that Jesus Christ is all sufficient for me. In His great name, Amen.
