Grace and peace to you,
"It is only when we obey God’s laws that we can be quite sure that we really know him. The man who claims to know God but does not obey his laws is not only a liar but lives in self-delusion. In practice, the more a man learns to obey God’s laws the more truly and fully does he express his love for him. Obedience is the test of whether we really live “in God” or not. The life of a man who professes to be living in God must bear the stamp of Christ." 1 John 2:3-6 From the J.B.Phillips translation.
Who does the world see when they look at you? What does your life say to those who are watching you?
Are you content with the answers to those two questions? If we are His children and we are living our lives for His sake, they will see Christ. On the other hand, if we are His children but we're living our lives for our own sake, for our own kingdom of self, how will they ever see Christ in us?
Do not be discouraged though if you feel short of the mark.
"For there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" Romans 8:1
Never the less, we must press on towards the mark so that our lives might proclaim the excellencies of His power and worth. We must strive together, encouraging one another, to grow in obedience and so "bear the stamp of Christ" before a watching world.
Grow in wisdom and knowledge little children, by the power and grace of our God.
For the Joy of Your Faith,
Teagan
