Lead me in your truth

Grace and peace to you my friends,

To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul.
    O my God, in you I trust;
        let me not be put to shame;
        let not my enemies exult over me.
    Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame;
        they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.
    Make me to know your ways, O LORD;
        teach me your paths.
    Lead me in your truth and teach me,
        for you are the God of my salvation;
        for you I wait all the day long.
"
Psalm 25:1-5 ESV

 Good morning my friends. I hope that your day is going well with you and that you have been able to start it off in the right state of mind. One that is completely set on relying on the Lord Most High for His grace and mercies to see you through the coming day. I my self have been struggling this week to find my rhythm and motivation for starting my day in the Lords presence, (not that He ever leaves but you know what I mean). This morning however the grace was there when I needed it and I was able to have a few peaceful moments together with the Lord and His Word. Today's passage really needs no special "application" or exegesis as it is already a beautiful petition, as are so many of the Psalms. So today I just prayed this passage over and over a few times mostly from the point of view that I've been starving my soul, depriving it of the joy and delight that the God of my salvation offers. A joyous feast to be sure, may the grace of God make me hunger even more that I might taste and see the benefits a true daily feasting can bring.

let me not be ashamed oh Lord, but give me the grace to wait for you as you teach and instruct my soul in your ways. Lead me I pray into the beauty of your truth and make me to love and enjoy the presence of the God of my salvation. Make me to be satisfied in Christ Jesus who is every thing to me that I could ever need. Thank you, thank you precious savior. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.

For the Joy of Your Faith,
Teagan
