Grace and peace to you,
" For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 ESV
Friends let us remember that our lives are just a vapor in comparison to the eternity on the other side of death. Paul is arguing here that, the pain and suffering we experience now, will never compare or out weigh the Glory that is yet unseen. The hard part about keeping this perspective though is that we as humans find it so easy to lose sight of that which we can not see. So for us to hold fast to the hope of eternal glory I think that we need to constantly be reminded to look for eternal significance in all that we do. Not only should we look for it but we should live it, so others can see the value of an eternally minded life. You will be surprised how much joy and fulfillment there is in knowing that what you are accomplishing has eternal significance.
Look for ways to see God's graceful hand working in your lives today. Also pray and ask Him to use you in an eternally significant way in the lives of those around you especially those burdened by affliction and those who've lost their perspective on the value of the unseen that is yet to come.
Father God make us useful in your hands to share the great worth of Christ and the enormous weight that a future glory in your presence offers to those who believe. Amen
For the Joy of Your Faith and the significance of your conduct,
Teagan
