REMEMBER!

Grace and peace to you my friends,

"And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”"
Nehemiah 4:14 ESV

Today my friends let us honor in remembrance the men and women who faithfully lived out the calling of Nehemiah 4:14. As we set aside time to remember their efforts and lives let us not forget the one who has made possible the great prosperity that we so often take for granted. Let us also remember that the freedoms we enjoy each day were not free, but paid for by the red blood of many who gave their all for you and me. To those who answered Nehemiah's call to action I say, Thank you.

Friends, just like those we remember today answered a call to action to physically defend and protect, I today call you out. There is a battle raging right now in our own hearts and lives, a battle for our affections and attention. Will you be satisfied with the fleeting pleasures of this brief mortal life or will you trade all that fades for something infinitely more valuable? The treasure and pleasure of Christ's presence for all eternity. Jesus promised us victory and a fullness of joy that we can start having here and now if we are willing to follow His example and instruction. Brothers and Sisters, "Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome". Study Him, learn His ways and grow in the knowledge and understanding of His grace and goodness. By the grace of God you already have every thing that you need for this battle. With the mighty Word of God in your hands and heart hear my cry, friends, "fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes". Do not let sin and Satan have any ground in the hearts and minds of your loved ones. Stand and answer this call my friends, just as those brave warriors that we honor today did for you.

"Do not be afraid" my friends, the victory has already been won by the death and resurrection of our king. The same power that brought Him back to life has now been promised to us. So live and fight like the justified sinner that you are, keeping the joy and treasure of Jesus Christ always before you as you fend off and defeat the fleeting distractions of this sin cursed generation.

STAND and FIGHT, life is too short to waste on pursuit's with no lasting value or reward.

For the Joy of Your Faith,
Teagan
