Grace and peace to you my friends,
I have been on a stretch of rough mornings lately and I apologize for neglecting you guys. It really does weigh on me when I get out of the good habit of being in the word each morning looking for our great God to speak to my heart and then move me in a direction of encouragement for you. With that, this morning I'd like to bring your mind to the thought provoking reality of just how tiny we are in God's grand scheme of the universe. Even though, as we'll see from David's Psalm, we are a miniscule little molecule compared to the expanse of God's creative works we are still sought after by God, cherished and uniquely special among His creation. For no other thing He created has the ability to have fellowship with Him nor take joy His loving kindness. So be encouraged that you alone are uniquely created to display His character and enjoy His presence like no other thing He created. Be blessed today as you think and dwell on how great is our God!
" O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established strength because of your foes,
to still the enemy and the avenger.
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?
Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under his feet,
all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,
whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8 ESV
For the Joy of Your Faith and the Majesty of our Great God,
Teagan
