More precious than Gold and sweeter than Honey.

Grace and peace to you my friends,

It's been a while since my last writing to you but I'm finally feeling a little better, enough to sit down and put some thoughts out for you. I appreciate your patience in waiting to hear from me.
This morning as I read through Psalms 19 I was blasted with this beautiful declaration of the truth and power of God's Word. As I read, I found myself shouting out (on the inside of course, the kids were still sleeping you know) a firm "Yes!, Yes!" following each of these declarations. May the Word of God this morning, delight your heart as well.

The law of the LORD is perfect,
        reviving the soul;
    the testimony of the LORD is sure,
        making wise the simple;
    the precepts of the LORD are right,
        rejoicing the heart;
    the commandment of the LORD is pure,
        enlightening the eyes;
    the fear of the LORD is clean,
        enduring forever;
    the rules of the LORD are true,
        and righteous altogether.
    More to be desired are they than gold,
        even much fine gold;
    sweeter also than honey
        and drippings of the honeycomb.
    Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
        in keeping them there is great reward.
"
Psalm 19:7-11 ESV

"Father God, oh how we long to cherish your Word like this. How we desire to know them more than any sweet sensation. Though this is our desire Lord God, I know we fall short, forgive us I pray and move us by Your Spirit to know and love you more. Help us precious Savior, help us to grow closer each day through the power of your Word. Sweeten it's hold on our hearts and tighten it's grip on our lives, so that not only would we delight in you more but also by our living, show those around us that You and Your Word are the only treasures worth living for. Despite our flawed attempts to live this out before them Father, use our brokenness I pray, to display the wonders of your Grace and mercy and the power of Your Word. In Jesus Name, Amen."

For the Joy of Your Faith and the sweet taste of His Grace,
Teagan
